RCC provides a wide range of programs in arts, aquatics, enrichment, fitness and lifelong learning. Western Fairfax Christian Ministries (WFCM), the anchor, community-based, human services non-profit organization in Region 4 of Fairfax County provides food & financial support to families at risk of hunger and homelessness in 9 zip codes of Western Fairfax County (Centreville, Chantilly, Clifton, Fairfax, Fairfax Station, Oak Hill & Herndon). Primary programs include two client-choice Free Food Markets, 15 satellite site refrigerators, Emergency Housing Financial Services Program (assisting with rent, mortgage, and utility bills), and our Pathways to Success upward mobility initiative. WCFM serves an average of 700 families/month, more than 4,000 individuals last fiscal year.
Formed 38 years ago by 12 churches in Centreville and Chantilly who knew that working together was the most powerful way to serve neighbors in need, WFCM has continued to build this strong foundation by partnering with local businesses, congregations, individuals, and county government to serve those at risk of hunger and homelessness in Western Fairfax County. For people and organizations who care about the needs of families in our area, WCFM is your partner offering dignified and accessible client-choice food markets, housing assistance and connections.
