2026 Race for Communication
Join us for the Race for Communication at scenic Lake Accotink Park to support communication access for nonspeaking people! Proceeds from this race will bolster the International Association for Spelling as Communication’s (I-ASC) work, which promotes inclusion and empowerment among nonspeakers who experience sensory-motor disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome, and more!

Lake Accotink McLaren Sargent Shelter Please double check the address and parking lot, as their are multiple at Lake Accotink. We will be meeting at the McLaren Sargent Shelter before and after the race. The address provided will take you to the nearest parking lot adjoined to the Shelter area.

Fees/Admission
5k – $30, until March 30 ($35) 10k – $45, until March 30 ($50) 1-Miler – $15, until March 30 ($20) ***Price will increase on race morning by $5 for each distance T-shirts guaranteed to runners registered before April 3. We will order extra t-shirts for those who register after that date, but it is on a first-come first-served basis.
