Upholding Community. \n\n\nSince 1979\, members of our Fairfax County Police Department\, Fire & Rescue Department\, Department of Public Safety Communications\, the Fairfax County Office of the Sheriff\, the Herndon Police Department\, and the Vienna Police Department have come together to honor the extraordinary bravery\, professionalism and selflessness of Fairfax County's public safety heroes. \n\n\n\nThis annual luncheon awards ceremony recognizes individuals who exceeded the call of duty through acts of courage and service. Honorees are presented with the Lifesaving Award\, Certificate of Valor\, or the Bronze\, Silver or Gold Medal of Honor each distinction representing moments of heroism that protect lives and strengthen our community. \n\n \n\nThe Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce is proud to host this prestigious event and invites you to join us on Thursday\, April 16\, 2026 at the Hyatt Regency Reston Hotel for the 48th Annual Fairfax County Valor Awards. \n\n\nTogether\, we continue a longstanding tradition of honoring courageous individuals who rarely seek recognition\, yet forever change lives through their service. \n\n\n\n \nWe are pleased to announce our returning Master of Ceremony... \n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nJoseph Olmo is a reporter for NBC Washington.
