With a background spanning information technology\, business operations\, and real estate\, John focuses on identifying opportunities where technology\, efficient management\, and strategic investment can create long-term value. His experience includes IT infrastructure and consulting\, business development\, property acquisition and renovation\, and the operation of residential and hospitality properties across the United States\, Japan\, and Vietnam.\n\n\n\n\n\nFisnik Shpuza is Head of the Technology Innovation Office at the World Bank Group\, the ITS unit responsible for emerging technology. His team focuses on agentic AI\, autonomous systems\, and the discipline of building blended workforces where people and governed digital workers deliver together\, applied to the institution's mission: a world free of poverty on a livable planet. He brings more than twenty years of enterprise technology and transformation experience. Before joining the World Bank Group\, he was Director of Workflow Automation at AARP\, where he led AI and automation innovation at enterprise scale\, and co-founded Zerapy\, a health technology venture. He is a co-inventor on patents covering the automated normalization and presentation of patient test-result data.
